Upcoming Auditions

Here at the Studio, we believe auditions don’t have to be scary. That’s why we work hard to make them fun. No cattle-call, get ’em in and get it done over here. We’re going to take time to calm nerves, chat a little, and hopefully create an environment that doesn’t freak anyone out. Hey, we’ve been there. We know how intimidating it can be to sing your guts out to a table of “judges”… so we’re going to do everything we can think of to make sure every child has an awesome audition experience!

Based on the famous novel by Roald Dahl, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory features an original score composed by Marc Shaiman with lyrics by Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray) and a book by David Greig. The score also pays homage to the Leslie Bricusse/Anthony Newley score from the 1971 film with songs from the motion picture including “The Candy Man,” “I’ve Got a Golden Ticket,” “Oompa Loompa Song,” and “Pure Imagination.”

The world-famous Willy Wonka is opening the gates to his mysterious factory…but only to a lucky few. Young Charlie Bucket and four other golden ticket winners will embark on a life-changing journey through Wonka’s world of pure imagination including chocolate waterfalls, nutty squirrels and the great glass elevator, all to be revealed by Wonka’s army of curious Oompa-Loompas.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is your golden ticket to producing a crowd-pleasing, outrageous ensemble musical with plenty of delicious roles.

Callbacks: September 28th, 2025

Tech Week: December 8-12, 2025 (Week One), December 18, 2025 (Week Two)

Performances:  December 13-14 2025 (Week One), December 19-21, 2025 (Week Two)

NOTE: We’re unable to move in to the theater until Monday of Tech Week—so we are using Monday-Friday for Tech Week I and opening the show on Saturday, December 13!

In addition, the second Tech Week has Monday-Wednesday off, because that’s when numerous area high schools have their finals.
